Cleshar was Principal Contractor for the construction of this new build 3 storey trackside Train Crew Accomodation at High Barnet Underground Station. The scope included all structural, building and services requirements.
The building is sited approximately 5m from the railway tracks and spans over the existing cable run. Pile foundations support a suspended insitu concrete ground floor slab, structural steel frame with composite metal decking flooring system and Kingspan insulated wall cladding with a plant room sited on the roof. A steel footbridge was fabricated and installed over railway tracks to the island platform. The bridge is supported by a concrete filled trestle on the platform and cantilevered from the steel frame on the side of the building.
