TRACK WELDING
Our track maintenance offerings are enhanced by our ability to provide track welding services. Our sister company, GPX Engineering Limited (GPX), supplies thermic and arc welding and track grinding services to clients nationwide.
PERMANENT WAY MAINTENANCE
Cleshar is currently engaged on a five-year contract with London Underground Limited to provide the track labour, small plant, road rail vehicles, welding and grinding resources to assist with the ongoing maintenance of two thirds of their infrastructure.
TRAINING PROVISION
Cleshar was one of the first external companies to attain accreditation to provide London Underground Limited. Since gaining this accreditation in 2004 Cleshar has developed three state-of-the-art training facilities to provide safety and skills training in our Stonebridge, Northfields Estate and Kent Offices. Cleshar is also accredited to deliver Network Rail Safety and welding training.
THE TRACK SIMULATOR
Recognising the criticality of providing competent and trained operatives to maintain the railway infrastructure, Cleshar invested in the construction of a full scale tunnel section at our North London Depot. This section includes track, tunnel and platform and is used to simulate on-site conditions to provide safety, skills and competency training. Before gaining experience in a live environment, our operatives are trained in a simulated setting before being permitted on site.
